Bo Bolding Bo Bolding is the founding pastor of Crossroads Community Church. He was born in Norman, Oklahoma, but was raised in Texas in a Southern Baptist home. While Bo was in college at Texas A&M, a friend began challenging him to read certain books of the Bible, including 1 John. Taking up the challenge, he began to see God and His Word in a new light. During the next several months God really won his heart. After graduating from Texas A&M, with a BA in Finance, Bo joined Youth With A Mission (YWAM) where he served for a couple of years. While there, he met and married his wife, Beth. After leaving YWAM, the Boldings moved to Kilgore, and Bo went to work for his father in the oil business, while he also served as a youth pastor for a local church. During this season of his life, his heart was beating hard for ministry. After nearly 4 years of working in the family business, he decided to attend seminary. He and Beth loaded up their family (now with two sons, and a daughter on the way), moved to Deerfield, Illinois, where he attended Trinity Evangelical Divinity School and garnered a Master of Divinity. While there, he felt God's leading to plant a church. After graduation, he, with his wife and a handful of committed brothers and sisters in the Lord, returned to East Texas and, in 1993, founded Crossroads Community Church. Just one year later, following another leading, he started (with a handful of committed families) the Christian Heritage School of Longview. He has served in many roles there as it has developed--including co-founder, teacher, principal and board member. He currently serves on the Board of Directors at the school. Together, Bo and Beth have four children; Blaine, Brandon, Brooke, and Brady. They also have one son-in-law; Danny and a granddaughter; Rylie. Bo's passions include living his life on mission for God, teaching God's Word, leading in musical worship, enjoying his family, playing basketball, reading great books, and, of course, eating chips and salsa!
