IMPACT

We have a wonderful opportunity for sharing, learning and spiritual growth in our IMPACT class for adults.  IMPACT stands for I Must Personally Advance Christ.  One of our key themes at Crossroads for 2011 is being a witness for Christ.  Our witness involves our words, acts of service and outreach, but it also includes the way we live every day.  Our life is the most important witness we have for Christ.  We want our lives to be lived in a winsome, loving way.  The IMPACT class strengthens us in this journey of faith and discipleship.

Next Step

For those considering membership at Crossroads, we offer a course titled Next Step: Discovering Crossroads.  This class covers the history of Crossroads, along with our mission and vision.  Statement of faith and salvation are covered as well.  Ministries are introduced and life group leaders also attend, getting a chance to get to know those who are new to our church.  The class concludes with a personal visit with one of our pastors to discuss any remaining questions about joining our church.  Those who  join are announced before the church body on a Sunday morning.

EQUIP CLASS:  How to Study the Bible

Christians throughout history have practiced the discipline of Bible study.  The Bible must not only be read devotionally , it must be studied deeply and broadly.  It is easy to fall into the practice of daily reading without growing in the deeper knowledge of God's truth revealed in His Word.  In this eight week class we will learn several different study methods for how to discern Biblical truth.  We will cover some of the following:

• overview of the Bible's major themes
• breakdown of the Old and New Testaments
• how to make a right interpretation
• rightly dividing the Word
• how to teach Biblical truth
• topical studies and word studies

This class will be taught by Pastor Bo.  Class members will be given short weekly assignments and the option to make a class presentation.
